The Fair Work Commission has today ruled on the minimum wage increase effective from the 1st July granting award-reliant workers a 2.4%% increase and lifting the national minimum wage by $15.80 a week or 41 cents an hour.![MP900305711[1]](http://workwiseadvisory.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/MP9003057111.jpg)
The new weekly minimum wage will be $672.70— or $17.70 an hour.
The C10 rate in the modern manufacturing award will increase by $18.36 a week to $783.36 (rounded up to $783.40).
Modern Awards will be amended to reflect the increase over coming days.
Employers paying above Award may choose to absorb the increase or adjust their rates accordingly.
