Fair Work inspectors have assessed the time and wages records of businesses across Albany, Denmark, Manjimup and their surrounding regions and found 52 percent of those businesses to be non-compliant.

106 individual breaches were identified with thirty-four percent of businesses audited found to be paying their employees incorrectly and in total, just more than $47,000.00 was recovered in back-pay for 147 local workers.

The majority of breaches were found to have occurred as a result of employer errors, such as missing annual wage increases or failing to include the required information on pay slips.

Employers and business owners who are not sure their pay rates and conditions of employment are compliant with applicable legislation are taking a financial and reputational risk.
